Yup, late post. But I think they always are since my weeks change on Sunday. Lots of baby movements. Lots of uncomfortable sleep. Starting to get sciatic nerve pain if I overdo things like this past weekend.
I had my doctor appointment last Friday with my glucose test. Found out this morning I passed my glucose test. I wasn't super worried about passing it, but there was that "what if" in my head. I was surprised by the scale at the doctor. Only 1lb a week since my last appointment. It's on the higher side of what I should be gaining but my doctor wasn't worried at all. She said I'm doing great. I honestly thought it would be worse. Several moms on the March board are reporting gaining 10-15 pounds in the last month. With Thanksgiving in there, I'm just happy it wasn't more.
DH got the chair rail stained and up in the nursery this weekend. I'm waiting to take a picture until after we get the crib set up. Which will hopefully happen this weekend. We'll see. I've got finals next week so lots of study time this weekend plus a family Christmas thing. But we are getting closer!
Oh baby shower update: I did talk to my MIL on Friday when I met her for the movies. Long story short, she's changing her story depending on the kid she's talking to. She is one of those who doesn't want to hurt anyone's feelings. I told her not to worry about it, that I truly do feel that having the shower at a neutral location will work the best. She was okay with that. I've found the room rental rates on campus where I work to be for the whole day and I get a discount -- YAY! So all that drama should be settled. Hopefully.
On a side note about the shower, oh my heavens. I'm so happy we had such a small wedding with only immediate family there. We both have decently large families through our dads. Apparently his mom and my sister feel like everyone should have an invite even if they live states away. (It's all good, I'm staying out of that). Just making me super happy we had such a small wedding and that I only have to do the whole baby shower thing once.
Re: Week 26
Married the love of my life on 1-21-12. Our princess arrived on 5-28-13.
I hope you passed your 3 hour test, Tara. I think that was my worry, that I would have to take the 3 hour test.
And thanks ladies - my sciatic nerve pain comes and goes. It depends on if I've been bending over, lifting, and/or being super active. I cleaned my huge 125 gallon fish tank this past weekend. (Hadn't done it since I found out I was pregnant. Yes, it was long overdue.) What used to take me two hours took me almost six because I kept taking breaks and to fill it up, I had to do it by half buckets. Not planning on doing that again until after baby. I'm going to see if my mom will do it for me when she comes to help out with baby girl.
Okay, here's a picture from today.
Glad the shower stuff worked out and I hope your sciatic nerve pain goes away!
I love seeing your bump pics every week!
